Our organizational structure is flat. Regardless of title or position, all members of our Leadership Team demonstrate ongoing mastery of all aspects of major search / recruiting engagements. Because our Partners do the same work as Consultants, it is imperative that we all effectively consult both clients and candidates on a daily basis. At the same time, we focus on expanding our own level of expertise within our respective practices in order to perform at an increasingly higher level. Practice Leaders are responsible for the training and growth of all consultants within their practice. At the same time, because we believe our people are our greatest asset, we provide regular third-party training/education to compliment our internal training programs. Such monies spent are an investment not a cost.
When evaluating prospective Consultants or Leaders, we pay much closer attention to leadership qualities than we do to one's management abilities / background. The expectations of performance placed on our Leadership Team cannot be overstated as we are a meritocracy in that we each "earn" our title / position every day through demonstrated performance. As an example of our merit-based culture, we give all consultants the opportunity to be involved in deciding the future strategic direction of the firm. Consultants who produce tangible "excellent" results in a given quarter become honorary members of the Leadership Team for the following quarter. As such, every top performer has the chance to help decide the future of the firm. Having these less experienced consultants involved in our strategy discussions provides us with a perspective on the firm's business operations that would be otherwise missed, so we very much value the input of these consultants as they continuously surprise us with great ideas!
